Acupuncture in the time of COVID-19

The health and safety of everyone in our community are of utmost importance. Clinic procedures have been adapted to provide for greater safety, sanitization, and social distancing, in accordance with the recommendations from the CDC, state and local authorities, and the national organizations that regulate the practice of East Asian Medicine.

Additionally, telehealth sessions are available for anyone who would rather not visit the office at this time. Remote appointments can address many of the issues we work on in person with herbs, acupressure prescriptions, and diet and lifestyle recommendations.

Here are the current steps we are taking to create a safer clinic space:

  • I am using an air purifier with HEPA filter in the office and, when reasonable, the window will be opened for additional air flow and turnover.

  • I am fully vaccinated and continuing to wear a mask with all patients.

  • Masks are required for everyone visiting the clinic.

  • Frequent hand washing and hand sanitizing practices are in place.

  • Anyone who has recently tested positive for COVID-19, experienced symptoms, or been exposed to the virus is asked to refrain from treatment. Cancelation fees will be waived for anyone canceling or rescheduling due to COVID symptoms, recent exposure, or a potential diagnosis.

Thank you for working with me and the entire office to protect the health and safety of everyone! If you have any questions or concerns about our Covid-related procedures, please get in touch
